What is Numerology All About? Well, this is a vast subject - but in essence, the practice of numerology associates a value to each letter of the alphabet, and usually reduces key names and dates to a single digit (or master number). Each of these numbers has certain qualities associated with it which are coloured by their source. As Shirley Blackwell Lawrence says in her book The Secret Science of Numerology; "I was stunned. Much has been said about numerology being either a science or a scam and everything in between. It really depends upon your point of view - but the proof of the puding is in the eating.
